The Galapagos Island 🏜 Last term, Year 6's Topic was the Galapagos Islands! In science, they focused on Charles Darwin and his voyage to these islands almost 200 years ago; this is where he developed his theory of evolution. In their topic lessons, they studied the location of the Galapagos archipelago and how the islands were formed. They had a lot of fun discovering the wide variety of endemic biodiversity which has survived on these islands! Over the term, they created: newspaper reports, pieces of camouflage art, brochures, information texts and a Galapagos trailer using iMovie.
