Information for prospective and existing parents of Harrington Hill Primary School

Attendance

Explore
Good attendance to school is crucial to achieve and make progress. Our ATTENDANCE TARGET for academic year 2021-2022 is 97% or above.

E-Safety Information

Explore
Our pupils often use the internet as part of their learning, and have regular lessons on e-safety to help them know how to keep safe online. Pupils in school are always supervised when using the internet. We realise that this close supervision of internet use is much harder to do at home, so here are some useful sites and guides to help

School Meals

Explore
At Harrington Hill Primary School, we provide a fully inclusive two-course meal each day, in line with national nutritional standards. These ensure children are provided with a healthy, balanced meal. Children can choose to have a delicious, healthy, hot lunch, cooked on the premises by our experienced kitchen team.

RSE Parent Consultation

Explore
As a part of your child’s educational experience at Harrington Hill Primary School, we aim to promote personal wellbeing and development through a comprehensive taught programme of Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education that gives children and young people the knowledge, understanding, attitudes and practical skills to live healthy, safe, productive and fulfilled lives, both now and in the future.

Secondary School Transfer

Explore
You will be able to apply online for a secondary school place from 1 September 2021. The online system is available 24 hours 7 days a week. Applications will be accepted up to the closing date of 31 October 2021, however Hackney Education would prefer Hackney residents to apply by Friday 22 October 2021. Applications should be submitted before 31 October to be treated as on-time, but you can still apply after this date.

PTFA

Explore
I am delighted to announce we have a newly formed Harrington Hill PTFA

Online Payments

Explore
At Harrington Hill, we have implemented a new management information system, Arbor, which will allow all aspects to be administered through one platform. One aspect of the system is Parent Portal. The Parent Portal will give parent/guardians access to their child’s profile. We will be rolling out other Arbor features which will need to be accessed using this portal. School communication will be done via Arbor. Therefore, it is important that you log in to ensure you have access. You will need access to the Parent Portal to make payments for your child's meals, clubs and trips.

School Uniform

Explore
It is important that the children come to school in the correct garments; the only item which is compulsory is our school sweat shirt. School uniform is available online with delivery direct to your chosen address by a company called ‘Uniform Direct’.

Admissions

Explore
Choosing a primary school for your child is a huge decision for any family, and we’re pleased that you, like so many other local parents/carers, are thinking about sending your child to Harrington Hill Primary School.
